Substrait AI vs Lofty

Substrait vs Lofty: move onto their suite, or keep the CRM you have?

The short answer

Lofty is an all-in-one: website, CRM, ads and an AI on top. The AI is one feature of that suite and it runs only if Lofty is your system of record.

Substrait is the opposite shape. It has no CRM of its own and never will. It runs inside the one your team already logs into.

Lofty does not publish rates. Their pricing page shows four tiers, all behind a Request Pricing form, and asks for a seat count, which suggests per-seat pricing. Everything in their column comes from that page, read 29 August 2026. Substrait prices are the founding-member rate, 40 percent off list.

Definitions

What each one actually is.

Lofty
All-in-one suite

Lofty is an all-in-one platform for real estate teams: an IDX website, a CRM, advertising services and an AI assistant that drafts replies and handles routing. The pieces are built to work together, and the AI is one of them. That is also the catch. It runs on Lofty, so having it means your site, your database and your team are on Lofty too.

SubstraitAI
Engine inside your CRM

Substrait is an AI ISA and nothing else. There is no website, no CRM and no ad product, because you already bought those. It runs inside your existing account, reads the lead record your agents already open, and sends from your office’s own number in your agent’s name. It runs Sierra Interactive and Follow Up Boss today.

Pricing

Lofty pricing is a form. Ours is a page.

Four tiers, every one of them behind a Request Pricing button. Ours are on the pricing page in full, with nothing to fill in.

Third parties quote figures for Lofty that disagree with each other, so we are not going to repeat one we cannot source. The number that matters is not the AI anyway. It is the cost of moving your site, your database and your team onto a new platform to get it, and that one never appears on anybody’s rate card.

The decision

Three questions worth answering first.

This is not really a feature argument. It is a question about how much you want to move.

01
What has to change for this to work?

Getting Lofty’s AI means adopting Lofty: the site, the database, the drips your team spent two years building.

Substrait changes nothing. Your CRM stays the system of record, your agents keep working where they already work, and there is nothing to rebuild on the way in or out.

02
Is a plan a conversation?

A Smart Plan fires on a schedule. It is dependable, and for a lot of teams dependable is the point.

A drip does not care what the lead just said. Substrait reads the reply and decides the next move from it, so an objection or a question changes what happens rather than getting queued behind step four.

03
How many vendors do you want?

One throat to choke is a real advantage. If you are starting from nothing, an all-in-one is genuinely the simpler buy.

If you already chose your CRM and your team likes it, replacing all of it to get an AI is a large price for one feature.

In fairness

What Lofty gets right.

An all-in-one is a real answer. If you are starting from nothing and want one vendor for the site, the database, the ads and the follow-up, theirs is one of the more complete ones on the market.

The pieces genuinely fit. That is the advantage of building the whole stack. Nothing has to be integrated, because it was never separate.

Honestly, we would rather plug into them. Lofty support is on our roadmap. It is chosen and not started, and there is no Lofty integration today. The point was never to replace your CRM.

Questions

Substrait and Lofty, answered.

Still deciding? Compare every AI, or read the security and compliance detail.

Does Substrait work with Lofty?
Not yet. Lofty is the next adapter we have chosen and it has not been started, so there is no Lofty integration today. Substrait runs Sierra Interactive and Follow Up Boss.
How much does Lofty cost?
Lofty does not publish rates. Their pricing page shows four tiers behind a Request Pricing form, and the form asks for a seat count, which suggests per-seat pricing.
Do I have to switch CRMs to use Lofty’s AI?
Their AI runs inside their platform, so having it means Lofty is your system of record. Substrait was built the other way around and runs inside the CRM you already have.
What is the difference between a Smart Plan and what Substrait does?
A plan fires on a schedule and the next step does not change when a lead replies. Substrait reads the reply and decides the next move from it.
Is Substrait an all-in-one?
No, deliberately. There is no website, no CRM and no ad product. It is one engine that works the database you already own.
Can Substrait send listing links?
Yes, live and filtered, inside the conversation. On Sierra Interactive they are built from the office’s own IDX site.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Nothing moves, because nothing moved on the way in. Your CRM was the system of record the whole time and the records stay there.
One flat rate

Keep the suite you bought. Add the AI that works it.

One flat monthly rate by database size. No setup fee, no per-message billing, no per-seat billing.
